The Workers’ Party have condemned tonight’s murder of a police officer in Craigavon, Co. Armagh as a despicable act and an attack on the community as a whole.

Workers’ Party General Secretary John Lowry said,   “The Irish people have for a long time rejected this form of terrorism from people who have no support from within any section of the community.  The only thing they have to offer is heartache and death”.

“This is a deliberate attempt to drag Northern Ireland back into the abyss and must be condemned and rejected absolutely”, said Mr. Lowry.
