Andrew
Mc Guinness is the Workers Party local election candidate in the Ballyfermot-Drimnagh constituency.
Andrew is 39 years of age, married
to Sinéad. A former construction worker he now works for the trade union SIPTU.
Andrew was born in Drimnagh and educated
in Our Lady of Good Counsel and Our Lady of Mercy schools in Drimnagh. He has also completed further education with the National
University of Ireland (Maynooth) and UCD.
• At a time of growing unemployment and cut-backs Andrew believes that those suffering
hardship need a voice to challenge the failed political consensus and cronyism that has developed over the years.
• End the housing lists and create jobs through a sustainable house building programme.
• Develop local public transport instead of cut-backs which particularly affect the elderly.
• Tackle anti-social behaviour and provide proper social infrastructure and support our
local schools and sport clubs.
• Keep our green spaces green.
• End the political gravy train and hold councillors to account for their decisions.
• Fund Local Authorities through central taxation and end indirect taxation such as services
charges.
