The Workers Party, Belfast Region will hold a memorial event to remember the victims of the 1975 pogrom against our party. From the night of 29th October 1975, and for the following two weeks, the provisional IRA, in collusion with the security forces, launched multiple armed attacks on members of the Republican Clubs, supporters of the Republican Clubs as well as indiscriminate armed attacks on their families, and on members of the public.

Over the course of the two-week long pogrom, eight people were murdered by the provisional IRA, as well as scores of injuries and destruction of houses. Amongst the most tragic and poignant of the victims was 6-year old Eileen Kelly. She was murdered when provisional IRA gunmen tried to kill her father, who was not a member of the Republican Clubs.

The memorial event will take place on Saturday 20th November.
Assemble at gates of Milltown Cemetery @ 11.00am sharp
