The Workers' Party is running two candidates in the Tramore-Waterford City North area, Cllr. Davy Walsh and Brian Hearne

Cllr. D Walsh (WP)
Cllr. Davy Walsh

Brian Hearne
Brian Hearne

Davy Walsh has been a member of Waterford City council for over 30 years.  He was the first councillor to oppose water charges.  Davy is Chairman of the Board of Management of Waterford College of Further Eduction and has been a longtime advocate of university status for WIT.  He is also a member of Education Training Board, ETB.

Davy supports and welcomes Waterford's second bridge and the new roads network but is totally opposed to tolling.  He is opposed to the proposed Eirgrid electricity pylons and power lines and calls for these lines to be put underground so as to preserve the natural beauty of the Comeragh Mountains.

Davy can be contacted at (086) 604-5592 or by email at cllrdwalsh@waterfordcity.ie

He was a founder of the Waterford Branch of the Campaign Against Home and Water Taxes (CAHWT) and is its Assistant Treasurer.
